Annual Careers Convention 2016

On the morning of Wednesday 16th November pupils in years Ten, Twelve and Eleven were afforded the opportunity to investigate potential future careers options and pathways as the School staged its annual Careers Convention in the William Moles Hall.

The event saw almost thirty different organisations represented, with exhibitors from both the University of Ulster and Q.U.B., as well as Liverpool Hope University; Liverpool John Moores University; University of Dundee; Salford University, Manchester; Harper Adams University; Stranmillis University College and University of Bradford present.

With representatives also attending from a number of local businesses and employers, such as Price Waterhouse Coopers, Bank of Ireland, Fujitsu,  Deloitte, Belfast City Council and CAFRE, the event proved highly worthwhile in enlightening Grosvenor’s pupils as to their future career avenues and potential destinations. As always this year’s Careers Convention was received positively by all in attendance, with pupils taking the opportunity to ask a range of questions to the many representatives present and commenting on the informative and educational nature of the event.

Many thanks to Head of Careers Mrs Browne, as well as Teacher in Charge of Business Education Links Ms Seaton, for their efficient organisation of the event, as well as the various representatives who took the opportunity to attend.

A number of year ten pupils enjoy the speactacle on display at the University of Ulster stand as part of this year's Careers Convention.
