Armagh Photographic Competition and Exhibition 2013

Grosvenor’s Art Department was celebrating recently when the success of a number of its pupils was recognized at the official prize giving ceremony for the ‘Armagh Photographic Competition and Exhibition 2013’.

The School entered the work of over a hundred pupils for the competition with three finalists being invited to the awards ceremony, held at Armagh County Museum on Thursday 25th April.  At the ceremony James Connolly (1N) and Robert Bruce (2G) were announced as having achieved 1st and 2nd place in the Under 12s category, while Alex Gibson (3V) was declared winner in the Under 18s age group - well done to them all on their success; Robert was rewarded for his achievement with vouchers while James and Alex each won a state-of-the-art camera for their efforts.

Congratulations to all of Grosvenor’s entrants in the competition, but especially its three winners, on their impressive achievements.  Thanks also to the members of the School’s Art Department, led by Mrs Joanne Blair and also including Mrs Lynn Denvir-Watson and Miss Patricia McCormick, for providing its pupils with the opportunity to participate in such a worthwhile event.
