‘Army Cadet Top 100’

Congratulations to Grosvenor pupil Melissa McDevitt, Form Four, a member of the Army Cadet Force, Second Battallion Royal Irish Regiment ‘G’ Company, who was recently awarded a rank in the prestigious ‘Army Cadet Top 100’.

The ‘Army Cadet Top 100’ is a 22 rifle shooting competition for Army Cadets, encompassing the whole of the United Kingdom, and to be placed in the Top 100 is a truly exceptional achievement and honour.

Although Melissa only started shooting in October 2013, her natural talent was soon recognised and she was immediately entered into the ‘Top 100 competition’ - an achievement in itself.  She is a member of the 'G' Company Shooting Team and is currently training with Full Bore Rifles to hopefully represent the Northern Ireland Army Cadet Force in the 'National Shooting Competition' in Bisley in July 2014.

Well done to Melissa on her recent achievement and we wish her the best of luck in her future Army Cadet-related endeavours.
