Arnold Palmer Invitational Golf Tournament

Congratulations to Grosvenor pupil Ross Nelson, Form Three, who has been selected to attend the ‘Arnold Palmer Invitational’ Golf tournament, held at Bay Hill Golf Club in Orlando, Florida from Thursday 21st to Sunday 24th March.

During the event Ross, a budding golfer himself with a handicap of just six, will receive the opportunity to help out and will be involved in working on the driving range and at the first tee.

Participation at the event comes following an invitation from event organiser and Club Manager Brian Doohan, and will give Ross the chance to rub shoulders with some of the world-famous participants at the competition, such as Rory McIlroy, Graeme McDowell and Tiger Woods.

Ross has attended the event twice before, in 2008 and 2010, but this is the first time that he will have assisted in its running.

Well done to Ross on his involvement at this event and hopefully it will inspire him to success of his own in the years to come!
