Art Department ‘Gifted and Talented’ trip to Crawfordsburn Beach

On the afternoon of Tuesday 16th June Grosvenor’s Art Department made the journey to Crawfordsburn Beach where it staged an outdoor workshop as a reward for the achievements of ‘Gifted and Talented’ pupils in the subject.

The event saw the top five female achievers in Forms 1, 2 and 3 invited to attend – in recognition of their attainment of excellent grades in the summer exams. During the workshop pupils were afforded the opportunity to create environmental sculptures, inspired by the work of the renowned artist Andy Goldsworthy.

Many thanks to the Art department for organizing this most worthwhile trip, and especially teachers Mrs Denvir-Watson and Miss McCormick, whose attendance made the entire event possible.
