Art - ‘Gifted and Talented’ Boys’ KS3 Trip

On Wednesday 24th June Grosvenor’s Art Department made the journey to Crawfordsburn beach where it staged an outdoor workshop as a reward for the achievements of ‘Gifted and Talented’ male pupils in the junior school.

The event saw the top five male achievers in Forms 1, 2 and 3 invited to attend, in recognition of their outstanding attainment in the recent summer examinations. During the workshop pupils were afforded the opportunity to create environmental sculptures, inspired by the work of the renowned artist Andy Goldsworthy.

The workshop followed a similar event, held the previous week, for female pupils in junior school and once again proved highly popular amongst those pupils in attendance. Many thanks to the Art department for organizing this most valuable trip, and especially teachers Mrs Blair and Mrs Denvir-Watson, whose attendance made the entire event possible.
