Art Trip to Paris

On Sunday 23rd February 24 of Grosvenor’s Art students from Forms 3 – Upper 6th returned to Belfast International Airport following four enjoyable and action-packed days spent enjoying the sights and sounds of Paris.

During the course of the trip the various activities undertaken included: a bus tour of the city, visits to the Louvre gallery and the Musee d’Orsay, sightseeing around the Tuileries Gardens, the Place de la Concorde, the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elycees, visits to Notre Dame Cathedral as well as the Eiffel tower and, finally, a day spent at Disneyland before departure for the airport on Sunday 23rd.

Throughout the four days each of the pupils present received a range of fantastic educational opportunities, whilst simultaneously broadening their horizons and enjoying a superb range of experiences that will benefit them for years to come.

Many thanks to Art teacher Mrs Lynn Denvir-Watson who organised and led the trip, as well as teachers Miss Jenny McDowell and Mr Stephen Smyth, without whose attendance the trip would not have been possible.  The trip proved inspirational to GGS’s budding artists and we will hopefully see the positive results of their experiences on the School’s canvasses and easels over the coming years.
