Belfast Schools’ Cross Country Championships 2014

Congratulations to Grosvenor’s Junior Boys’ Cross Country Team which enjoyed victory in the team event at the 'Belfast Schools’ Cross Country Championships', held on Thursday 3rd April.

The six-strong team performed heroically on the day, holding off stiff opposition from a range of teams on the day to secure their gold medals.  In particular, praise must go to the team’s talisman Aaron Harrison, who ran superbly to finish first overall in the race, achieving an individual gold medal in the process.

What is more, further recognition is due to Form One pupil Gareth Campbell who was placed third individually in the First Form race.

On the girls’ side, congratulations must also go to the Third Form team which finished second overall, the Form Two team which was placed third and the First Form squad which achieved a commendable fourth position.

Well done to all of Grosvenor’s cross country runners who performed so well last week and we hope that they can translate their form onto the track during the coming athletics season.
