British Biology Olympiad 2018

Congratulations to a number of Grosvenor’s Year Fourteen Biologists who were recently recognised for their achievements in the highly prestigious, UK-wide ‘British Biology Olympiad’.

The Olympiad is a competition for the top A Level Biologists across the UK, comprising two challenging 45-minute multiple choice papers, designed to challenge and stimulate students with an interest in Biology to expand and extend their talents. The competition also enables students to demonstrate their knowledge beyond the limits of the examination specification.

This year the following GGS Biologists were recognised, in the form of either a Bronze Award, a Commendation or a ‘Highly Commended’ certificate, as follows:

Bronze Award – Anna Stanfield, Rebekah Wilson.

Highly Commended - Jack Quirey, Jake Kyle, Aaron Harrison, Eva Wardlow

Commended - Hannah Murphy, Zoe Baird

Congratulations to eachof these talented pupils on their impressive achievement and many thanks to Grosvenor’s Head of Science Mrs Reid who once again coordinated the School’s participation in this most worthwhile initiative this year.
