Careers Convention 2018

On Wednesday 15th November pupils in Grosvenor’s Years Ten, Twelve and Thirteen were afforded the opportunity to investigate potential future career options and pathways as the School staged its annual Careers Convention in the William Moles Hall.

The event saw in excess of thirty different organisations represented, with exhibitors present from universities such as Stirling, Dundee, Q.U.B., The University of Ulster, Stranmillis, Lancaster and Liverpool John Moores, additional educational institutions like Belfast Metropolitan College and South Eastern Regional College, as well as such employment companies as Deloitte, The Bank of Ireland, Belfast City Council, Caterpillar, Almac and Fujitsu. The event proved highly worthwhile in enlightening Grosvenor’s pupils regarding future career avenues and potential destinations.

As always this year’s Careers Convention was received positively by all in attendance, with pupils taking the opportunity to ask a range of questions to the many representatives present and commenting on the informative and educational nature of the event.

Many thanks to Ms Seaton and Mrs Rea for their efficient organisation of the event, as well as the various representatives who took the opportunity to attend.
