Chamber Choir at St. Finian's Church

Congratulations to Grosvenor’s Chamber Choir which performed with much distinction at the Covenant Service in St. Finian’s Methodist Church on the morning of Sunday 9th September.

The Choir, conducted by the School’s Head of Music Mrs Rosemary Foster, accompanied by Music Teacher Mr Jonathan Arnold and joined by Head of Religious Studies Mr Mark Wardil, performed the Anthem ‘Be Thou My Vision’ (arranged by Philip Stopford), featuring vocal soloist Emma Wallace and Northern Ireland Young Musician of the Year Andrew Douglas as Flute soloist.

In addition the Service also featured the Schools’ String Quintet, comprising 1st violins Naomi Gray and Rebekah McGuicken, 2nd violin Joshua Murtagh, Matthew Hedley on viola and cellist Thomas Parke.

Well done to all of Grosvenor’s musicians who contributed so successfully to the service at St. Finian’s: we look forward to hearing of further achievements from within the School’s Music department throughout the year.
