Christmas Jumper Day 2016

Congratulations to the pupils of Grosvenor who helped to raise £210 for the Simon Community following its Christmas Jumper Day, held this year on Thursday 15th December.

The event saw pupils from all year groups within the School pay £1 to wear Christmas jumpers for the day and, with the event taking place on the same day as the DIning Centre’s ever in-demand Christmas Dinner, it served to create a particularly festive atmosphere throughout the school.

This year’s initiative is the latest in a number of charity-related endeavours that have taken place within the School this year, with the whole-school target of £15000 for the current academic year firmly within sight.

Well done to all of the pupils who helped to raise money on the day, as well as the school’s Charity co-ordinator Mrs McClelland who worked diligently to successfully organise and coordinate the event.

We look forward to reading about further charity-related ventures within GGS over the remainder of the year.

A number of Grosvenor's Year Eight pupils proudly sport their festive knitwear during this year's Christmas Jumper Day on Thursday 15th December.
