French Exchange 2013

On Friday 2nd December seventeen of Grosvenor’s most enthusiastic linguists, accompanied by Head of Modern Languages Mr Diarmuid Brittain and fellow teacher Mrs Gillian Burns, departed from Belfast as they embarked on the first leg of the School’s French Exchange 2013/2014 with ‘Lycée International Bossuet de Meaux’.

Over the duration of the week-long trip Grosvenor’s travelling delegation was afforded the opportunity to, amongst many activities, visit the Champs Élysées as well as the Eiffel Tower during a visit to Paris, enjoy a tour of Reims Cathedral as well as the superb Christmas markets of the region, attend a War Memorial in Meaux and, perhaps the highlight of the entire trip, visit Disneyland in Paris for a day of light-hearted enjoyment and fun!

Many thanks to those at ‘Lycée International Bossuet de Meaux’ who helped to make the ‘away’ leg of this year’s French Exchange so enjoyable for Grosvenor’s pupils; each of the students who participated in the trip, as well as Mr Brittian and Mrs Burns, look forward to reciprocating the warm welcome which they received when their French counterparts make the journey to Northern Ireland in the new year.
