Edgar Graham Memorial Public Speaking Competition

Congratulations to Grosvenor pupil Ross Neil who was awarded the ‘Most Promising Public Speaker’ award at the Edgar Graham Memorial Public Speaking Competition on the evening of Wednesday 6th February.

The event, run by the Ulster Unionist Womens’ Council and sponsored by MLA Jo-Ann Dobbs was Ross' first solo competition and so he deserves huge praise for his tremendous achievement.

Ross, who spoke on the topic of why footballers wages should not be capped, competed against fifteen other students from a number of schools and received his certificate from Lady Daphne Trimble.

Well done to Ross as well as Grosvenor teacher Ms Cheryl Lunch, who accompanied him on the night, on this superb achievement.

We wish Ross and all of the School’s Public Speakers continued success throughout the remainder of the year.
