Form Four Sports Day

On Tuesday 16th June there was great excitement as Grosvenor’s P.E. Department staged the School’s inaugural Form Four Sports Day. The event took place as this year’s main Sports Day, rearranged due to weather, took place while fourth form pupils were absent from school on their annual Work Experience.

Standout performances on the day included, in the boys’ events, Jos McConkey placing first in the javelin with a distance of 21.4 metres, Karl Depayso winning the long jump in 5.26 metres, Harry Walker achieving victory in the discuss with 26.30 metres and Jonny Little prevailing in a highly competitive 100 metres. On the girls’ side, meanwhile, impressive performances were recorded by Rachael Moore, who placed first in the discuss with 20.20 metres, and Abbie Crozier, whose leap of 2.89 metes was enough to win the long jump.

Well done to the numerous athletes who performed so commendably on the day, as well as P.E. teacher Mr Andrew Gibson whose diligent organization was key to the success of the event.
