Friends of Grosvenor Table Quiz 2018
On the evening of Thursday 25th October the School’s ever-active Friends of Grosvenor parent-led association held its annual Table Quiz as many pupils, parents and associates of the School braved the inclement weather to support the event.
The quiz, which took place in Grosvenor’s William Moles Hall, proved popular as ever, with over sixty competitors making up eight teams of eight members each. The event was led superbly by Year Fourteen pupils Lisa Purdy and Yara Eltayeb, who shared duties as quizmasters (mistresses!) on the night, providing a balanced, fair and challenging series of questions which made for a closely-fought and captivating contest.
Amongst the eight rounds on the night, categories included Geography/History, Sport, Music and even a picture round of teacher pets!
Well done to Lisa and Yara for playing such a key role in the staging of this highly successful event, as well as the dedicated parents who continue to support F.O.G. so faithfully, not to mention the organisation’s Senior Leadership teacher representative Mr Young; without the support of such individuals the event would not have proved such an overwhelming triumph.
Funds generated by F.O.G. are hugely important to the Grosvenor in enabling it to invest in areas of importance to the School, such as extracurricular sport, music and drama. With this in mind we look forward to following many more of its events and endeavors over the remainder of this academic year.
