GGS Table Tennis Successes!

Congratulations to a number of the School’s talented table tennis players who have enjoyed a string of successes at various competitions through the season.

At Under 13 level second former Lucy Johnston has had an outstanding season, achieving first place in her age category in the Plate competition at September’s Junior Classification as well as at the Ulster Open, held in November, and in the Belfast Division Table Tennis League.

In addition, Form Three pupil Lucy Craig achieved first place at the Under 18s Plate at the Ulster Open, as well as fourth place at Under 15 level in both the Junior Classification as well as the Ulster Open. In the same age category, meanwhile, Emma Kee, also Form Three, attained third place in the Junior Classification and fifth place at the Ulster Open, as well as joint third in the Under 18s Plate at the Ulster Open and second in the Belfast Division Table Tennis League.

Finally, not content to let the girls enjoy all of the success, Form Four pupil James Magrath also performed superbly to finish second in the Under 18s Plate contest at the Ulster Open.

Well done to both Lucys, Emma and James, all members of Glenburn Table Tennis Club,  on their continued success and we wish them the best of luck in their table tennis-related exertions throughout the remainder of the season and beyond.
