Girls' netball and hockey end-of-season Awards Dinner
On the evening of Thursday 10th March Grosvenor’s junior netball and female hockey teams congregated at Speranzas restaurant in Belfast, where they celebrated the conclusion of another successful season of sport within the School. A number of individual prizes were awarded to players from the Under 13 and Under 14 hockey teams as well as the Minor and Junior netball teams, as follows:
Hockey
Under 13 As: most improved player - Ella Nicholl; coaches’ player of the year - Rhea Stewart; players’ player of the year - Holly McDowell.
Under 13 Bs: most improved player - Tara Montgomery-Allison; coaches’ player of the year - Rosa Armstrong; players’ player of the year - Eva Russell.
Under 14 As: most improved player - Emma Kee; players’ player of the year - Rhianna Buick; coach's player of the year - Emily Young.
Under 14Bs: most improved Player - Tia Cashman- Hooke; players' player of the year - Annabelle Fallows, coach's player of the year - Olivia Davidson.
Netball
Minor As: most improved player - Katherine Harrison; coaches’ player of the year - Amy Grant; players’ player of the year - Anna Ferris.
Minor Bs: most improved player - Daisy Best; coaches' player of the year - Omnia Elshibly; players' player of the year - Alison Riley.
Junior As: most improved player - Rhianna Buick; players' player of the year- Katie Russell, coach's player of the year - Emma Kee.
Junior Bs: most improved player - Emily Gibson; players’ player of the year - Kara Purdy, coach's player of the year - Tola Thompson.
Well done to everybody who has participated within Junior hockey and netball in the school this season, as well as the many coaches without whom the sports would not be able to run.
We look forward to reading of many further successes within the hockey and netball teams of GGS during the 2016-2017 season.
