GloHealth Interprovincial Championships 2015

Congratulations to Grosvenor pupils Nathan Chan and Andrew Proctor who have been selected to represent Ulster Schools’ at the ‘GloHealth Interprovincial Championships’, to be held at Santry Athletics track, Dublin on Friday 19th June.

Form four pupil Nathan, Irish Schools’ Champion in the junior age group in 2014, has been selected to represent Ulster in the triple jump while Andrew, form five, will compete in the 4 x 400 metres relay. Both pupils were members of the Grosvenor Internediate 4 x 100 metres relay team which stormed to victory in the Ulster Schools’ Championships in May and narrowly missed out on gold, just being edged into second place at the Irish Championships in Tullamore a fortnight later.

In addition to Nathan and Andrew’s selection, Grosvenor teachers Mrs Karen Kirk and Mr Andrew Gibson will also be present to coach all of the Ulster Schools’ relay teams on the day, with Mrs Kirk also performing the role of Team Manager at the event.

All at Grosvenor wish Nathan and Andrew, as well as Mrs Kirk and Mr Gibson, the best of luck at this elite competition – hopefully they will give us all something to celebrate this Friday!
