‘Habitat for Humanity’ Lower 6th Workshop

On the morning of Wednesday 6th November Grosvenor welcomed ten pupils from ‘Our Lady and St. Patrick’s College, Knock’ to join with ten of its own pupils as it staged a ‘Habitat for Humanity’ workshop between the two schools.

During the event, held in the Library and led by two representatives from the charity itself, pupils in Lower 6th looked at challenges faced by families in other countries, social injustice and the role that pupils can play in regenerating communities.

The event will be followed next week by a site visit to the Simon Community Hostel on the Antrim Road, where the pupils will be working to renovate the property, as well as a second workshop at OL&SP’s during the week beginning Monday 18t November.

We look forward to hearing more about this exciting initiative over the weeks to come.
