Habitat for Humanity – ‘Resurgam Trust’ initiative

On Thursday 14th November ten of Grosvenor’s pupils from Lower 6th worked with ten pupils from Our Lady and St. Patrick’s College, Knock in practical work with the Resurgam Trust as part of each School’s involvement with the ‘Habitat for Humaity’ programme.

The Resurgam Trust delivers practical and social support in some of the most deprived communities across Lisburn.  Pupils assisted with the refurbishment of social economy incubation units in order to create opportunities for local employment, building community capacity and regeneration. Tasks included painting, light wood work, cleaning and the refurbishment of exterior of the buildings.

All of the pupils found the work most satisfying and rewarding and are looking forward the further Habitat for Humanity-related events that are due to take place over the coming weeks.
