Habitat for Humanity ‘Site Day’

On Tuesday 17th November twenty pupils from Grosvenor Grammar School and Our Lady and St Patrick’s College joined forces to work on completing three rooms at Habitat for Humanity’s Lisburn store.

The pupils, all Lower Sixth, worked hard throughout the day to sand walls and paint them; the rooms will allow the charity to recruit volunteers for various upcycling projects on their furniture, which they will then be able to sell.

This ‘site day’ is the second of three days in which pupils from each school come together to work for the benefit of others with the aid of ‘Habitat for Humanity’. As always the day proved highly enjoyable for all involved, who worled industriously throughout.

Many thanks to Grosvenor’s Head of Careers Mrs Fiona Browne who accompanied Grosvenor’s attendees on the day and whose diligent coordination of the initiative helped to make it such a success.
