Habitat for Humanity @ Windsor Presbyterian Church

On Thursday 20th November ten of Grosvenor’s Lower Sixth students, accompanied by Mrs Browne, were given the chance to carry out work at the nearby Windsor Presbyterian Church as part of the School’s ongoing link initiative with ‘Habitat for Humanity’.

The day saw pupils help to refit the Church’s hall, with tasks including the fitting of roof insulation, clearing old fencing and building new fencing, clearing paths and putting down new stones on them.

The pupils worked with nine of their peers from ‘Our Lady and St. Patrick’s College, Knock’ as part of a community project started by the church in order to help them accommodate the large numbers of migrants into the area.

The School looks forward to further ‘Habitat for Humanity’ events over the coming weeks.
