International School Award

Congratulations to Grosvenor which was recently successful in its bid for re-accreditation of the prestigious ‘International School Award’.

Notification of the school’s success came following submission of its Impact Evaluation of International activities, which now ensures that it maintains its International Award Status for the coming three years, until 31st August 2017.

In its feedback on Grosvenor’s successful bid the International Award team commended the School on the cross-curricular nature of its bid, the manner in which it had managed to embed internationalism into its curriculum, as well as its choice of activities and global themes - which fitted seamlessly into the fabric of the curriculum.  So too the School received praise for its partnerships and collaboration with international and local schools, along with the use of foreign language as a vehicle for exploring international themes.

Well done to Grosvenor on its successful re-application for this prestigious award, which recognises the massive contribution of many departments throughout the School in helping its pupils to develop into effective global citizens.  In particular, particular praise is due to the School’s International Coordinator, Senior Teacher Mrs Deirdre McLaughlin, without whose efforts the School would not now be celebrating its latest attainment of the award.

Well done to all involved in Grosvenor’s successful bid application and we look forward to the School maintaining its International School status once again in three year’s time.

Grosvenor pupils, alongside Mrs McLaughlin and Mr McLoughlin, proudly display the School's International School Award following its renewal in September of this year
