‘Love for Life’ Form Four Presentation

On Friday 19th June Grosvenor’s Learning for Life and Work department welcomed representatives from the independent charity ‘Love for Life’ to the school to speak to its form four students about issues affecting young people in modern society.

The theme for this year’s presentation was ‘Icebergs and Babies’ and looked at issues such as the media’s portrayal of sex, the consequences of engaging in unprotected sexual relationships, the emotional issues related to sexual relationships and how to be safe and smart online with regards to posting information.

The talk was delivered expertly on the day by ‘Love for Life’ representatives Heather, Joy and Jonny who were engaging throughout, serious when required and sensitive around difficult issues.

The session was received extremely positively by all pupils in attendance and the School extends its gratitude to ‘Love for Life’ for communicating such a strong message of responsibility and culpability.  Many thanks also to Grosvenor’s Head of LLW Mr Andrew Gibson, whose careful coordination of the day helped to make it possible.

We look forward to welcoming 'Love for Life' back to the school again soon.
