Lower 6th Geography Field trip

From Monday 19th to Wednesday 21st November Grosvenor’s Geography department embarked on its annual trip to Magilligan Field Centre to complete field work required as part of its pupils' AS coursework.

Over twenty Lower 6th pupils, accompanied by Head of Department Miss Deborah Byers as well as fellow teachers Mr Johnny Young and Mrs Gillian Rea, made the journey, where they conducted a study of the spheres of various services in Coleraine on the Monday, a sand dune transect at ‘Umbra Nature Reserve’ on the Tuesday and, finally, a river study on the Wednesday.

The field work was carried out enthusiastically by all and will have given each of the pupils present the best possible opportunity for success come their AS modules in January and June.

Many thanks to Miss Byers, Mr Young and Mrs Rea for organising this trip and making it so worthwhile.
