Mary Peters ‘Freedom of the City’ Event

Well done to a number of Grosvenor’s G.C.S.E. P.E. students who were invited to act as officials at an event for Primary School children held to celebrate Dame Mary Peters’ ‘Freedom of the City’ on Wednesday 8th May.

Hundreds of Primary School pupils from a range of Schools joined Dame Mary as well as the Lord Mayor Gavin Robinson, himself a former Grosvenor pupil, to take part in a range of Pentathlon-style sports activities. Grosvenor’s pupils were required to organise and record performances in a number of the events, carrying out their jobs in an efficient manner to help ensure that the day ran smoothly and with success.

Many thanks to Belfast City Council for offering our pupils the opportunity to attend this most enjoyable event.
