Mock Interviews 2012

On the evenings of Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th December Grosvenor staged its annual Mock Interview Programme, with pupils in Upper 6th receiving the opportunity to practise their interview technique in the face of questions from a range of qualified professionals.

The Mock Interviews, run by The Careers Department and organised by Ms Seaton, give pupils the opportunity to experience at first – hand the sort of interview process that they will face outside of Grosvenor, with interviewers being made up of individuals from a range of professions and industries.

This year saw some 110 pupils interrogated by over 40 panel members over the two nights, with the programme being particularly notable for featuring, amongst its interviewers, former pupil Kyle Kirkpatrick, who left the School in 2007.  The programme provides an invaluable opportunity to prepare pupils for what they may encounter beyond their time at school, and can also build up their confidence through complimentary and constructive feedback.

Well done to all of the pupils who participated in this year’s Mock Interviews, as well as the Careers Department for putting the entire event in place.  Finally, Grosvenor extends its gratitude to the scores of local professionals who gave of their time freely to provide the pupils of the school with such a worthwhile opportunity.
