Modern and Foreign Languages Conference

On Tuesday 25th June Grosvenor’s ever-active Modern Languages Department hosted a highly worthwhile Languages Conference, run by Bath Spa University’s ‘Network for Languages’, featuring over forty MFL teachers from across Northern Ireland.

The conference featured a series of workshops; one presented by Philip Campagna, Director of Network for Languages in the South of England, on differentiation in the ML classroom and Group Talk, a technique used to develop speaking skills in the classroom.  The other session, meanwhile, was delivered by Joe Dale, a well known ICT and MFL consultant, who talked to the group about integrating ICT into their lessons and developing the use of iPads.

The group found the course highly informative and useful and were extremely complimentary about the School’s hosting of the event.  Many thanks to ‘Network for Languages, as well as Grosvenor’s own Miss Julie Lee, accompanied by Mrs Amanda Salt, whose coordination of the day made it possible.
