New Head Boy and Head Girl Appointments

Congratulations to Lower Sixth pupils Stuart Nelson and Annie McKirgan who were appointed as Grosvenor’s Head Boy and Head Girl for the academic year 2016-2017 following a series of interviews conducted on Tuesday 26th April.

As well as Stuart and Annie’s appointments, the aforementioned interviews also saw Cameron Hamilton and Stephen Hedley appointed as Deputy Head Boys, and Hannah Blair and Lauren McAskie as Deputy Head Girls.

The six new appointments, as well as approximately forty new prefects, officially took on their responsibilities when the current Upper Sixth departed on study leave on Wednesday 4th May. Prior to this departure the Upper Sixth pupils attended a short gathering in the William Moles Hall, which included a prestigious awards ceremony as well as speeches from outgoing Head Boy Stuart Graham and Head Girl Olivia Cullen.

Miss Hyndman (Head of Sixth Form) and Mr Lendrum (Head of Upper Sixth) would like to place on record how enjoyable it has been to work with the current Upper Sixth as a whole over the past two years and, in particular, with Stuart and Olivia in their leadership roles over the past twelve months, as well as deputies Hannah Martin, Abbey Walker, Ryan Simpson and Ben Sullivan, each of whom have been extremely dedicated in their roles and unwavering in their commitment to the school.

Well done to Stuart, Annie, Cameron, Stephen, Hannah and Lauren on their recent appointments and we wish them the best of luck in their roles over the coming year.
