Nuffield Research Placement 2013

On the evening of Thursday 19th September a number of the School’s pupils were invited to attend a Celebration Event for those who took part in the Nuffield Science Research Placement 2013 over the summer period .

The scheme is organised by Sentinus and sees selected pupils given the opportunity to take part in Science and Engineering-based projects of between four and six weeks’ duration in Universities, Industries or Research Institutions across Northern Ireland.

This year three Grosvenor pupils took part, namely: Courtney Dane, Kyle Whiteside and Cameron Hinds (all Upper 6th).  The Celebration Event saw each pupil receive their certificates as their work was accredited with a CREST Gold Award.

Well done to all three of Grosvenor’s participants this year and we look forward to many more of the School’s pupils involving themselves in this most worthwhile Scheme over the years to come.
