Prize Distribution Ceremony 2013

On Wednesday 16th October 2013 the Grosvenor community of pupils, staff, parents, Governors and invited guests, including guest-of-honour Dame Mary Peters congregated at Queen’s University’s Sir William Whitla Hall to celebrate another year of all-round achievement at its annual Prize Distribution Ceremony.

Following speeches from Chair of the Board of Governors Mr Alan McVeigh and Principal Mr Robin McLoughlin, memorable performances from the School’s Choir of ‘Nearer My God to Thee’, arranged by Philip Stopford, ‘This Is The Day’, arranged by Stephen Doughty, ‘Gaelic Blessing’ by John Rutter and Paul Simon’s ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’, as well as the distribution of prizes itself, the ceremony concluded with an entertaining and engaging speech from guest-of-honour Dame Mary which provided the perfect conclusion to an enjoyable afternoon of recognition and celebration.

2012-2013 was a year of huge attainment in Grosvenor, with the school enjoying notable successes in academic, sporting and musical areas, to name just a few; to this end its 2013 Prize Distribution Ceremony provided fitting recognition of its continued achievements and accomplishments in a range of curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Well done to everybody at Grosvenor on its incredible success over the past twelve months - all within the school look forward to celebrating further achievements from the current academic year in October 2014.
