Scripture Union Outreach Event

On the afternoon of Tuesday 25th November the School’s Scripture Union organization staged an outreach event in the William Moles Hall, in conjunction with the SU's National initiative entitled 'Shine', which encourages each school to plan, pray for and eventually carry out an outreach event.

In total the event, themed around ‘I’m A Celbrity, Get Me Out of Here’, was attended by over one hundred pupils, with Upper Sixth students John Morrow and Sam Robinson taking on the personas of Ant and Dec as they ran a quiz for the first half of the afternoon.  Following this those in attendance were treated to a talk from Grosvenor’s own Mr Gibson, entitled 'Living for Jesus', before everybody made their way to the nearby Dining Centre for refreshments.

Many thanks to SU President Sarah Whitcroft and her committee for running such a successful event and we look forward to reporting on further Scripture Union-related endeavours during the remainder of the year.
