Scripture Union - ‘Q Café'

On the afternoon of Tuesday 24th February Grosvenor’s Scripture Union staged a highly successful acoustic afternoon, entitled ‘Q Café’, to look at life’s big questions whilst enjoying live music and lots of good food!

Over 130 pupils, from all year groups within the school, attended the event - held in the Upper Sixth Common Room, while representatives from ‘Scripture Union N.I.’ and ‘Logos Ministries International’ also supported the afternoon.

The event featured a range of musical performances, interspersed by a series of sixty second speeches based around the Who? What? Why? How? and Where? of Christian faith. Singers on the day included Joanna Wright, Georgia Galway, Chris Allen and Sarah Myles, while many of the Upper Sixth year group provided a plethora of buns and cakes and also helped to decorate the Common Room with bunting and candles.

Well done to the entire Sixth Form S.U. Committee, led by President Hannah Martin, who organized the event so diligently – the event met with an incredibly positive reception and there have been many requests to do it again soon!

We look forward to following the further fortunes of the GGS Scripture Union over the remainder of the year.

A number of the school's pupils enjoy the food and fellowship at the S.U's 'Q Cafe' on Tuesday 24th November.
