Shared Education Project

On Tuesday 18th October Grosvenor participated in its first session of the year relating to the Shared Education project in which it is currently involved alongside Lagan College and Our Lady and St. Patrick’s College, Knock.

The project, which involves all 33 members of Grosvenor’s 9G tutor group and focuses on ‘Building Resilience’, saw pupils from Lagan and OLSPC visit Grosvenor during the morning, where they participated in various ice-breaker games in the William Moles Hall, including making 'freeze frames' on various aspects of shared education, such as communication and team work.

After an early lunch, all 89 participating pupils from across the three schools, as well as the supervising teachers, then made the short journey to the nearby ‘We are Vertigo’ where they participated in activities on apparatus such as trampolines, a climbing wall and high ropes.

The Grosvenor pupils on the day had a superb time and were mixing really well with their peers from the other two participating schools by the end of it.

Many thanks to Grosvenor’s Teacher in Charge of Shared Education Mrs Lander who coordinated the day, as well as fellow teacher Mr McDowell who also supervised throughout.

We look forward to reading about further Shared Education-related initiatives throughout the remainder of the academic year.
