'Simon Community' charitable donation

Congratulations to all of Grosvenor's year twelve pupils who recently donated a plethora of food items to the Simon Community, in order to make up Christmas hampers for homeless people.

The initiative began when pupils Luke Knight and Isaac Stewart signed up to the YMCA National Citizen Service as part of their volunteering project. In connection with this the boys asked for the year group's help during year assembly, with the pupils being given just over a week to bring in food items such as canned meat, vegetables, fruit, pasta and pot noodles, as well as toiletry items like soap and toothpaste.

Hundreds of items were donated by Year Twelve and Luke is pictured dropping off the School’s donation at the Simon Community just last week.

Well done to all of the pupils who have helped to make the lives of some less fortunate people a little brighter this festive season.
