Sixth Form General Studies – Translink

On Wednesday 24th February Grosvenor’s Sixth Form welcomed Paul and Peter, two representatives from ‘Translink’, to its weekly General Studies session where they promoted and offered the chance for pupils to sign up for its student-friendly ‘Y Card’.

Translink’s ‘Y Card’ is applicable to anybody aged 16 – 23 and allows young people, for an upfront fee of just £8, to enjoy 1/3 off all Bus and Rail travel within Northern Ireland, as well as up to 50% off travel on the Enterprise. The card proved extremely popular with Grosvenor's Lower and Upper Sixth students as many of them queued up in the William Moles Hall to have their photographs taken and to register for it.

Many thanks to Translink for sending its representatives to the school to offer its Sixth Formers the chance to avail of this excellent opportunity – this is the second consective year that they have visited to promote the ‘Y Card’ and we look forward to seeing them in school again next year.
