Society of Biology ‘Biology Challenge’ 2015

Congratulations to a number of Grosvenor’s Form Four students who participated in the highly prestigious ‘Biology Challenge 2015’, run by the Society of Biology, earlier in the year and who were rewarded with some excellent results in June.

Within the entire year group the standout performer was Sarah Myles who was the only pupil within Grosvenor to attain the top standard of a Gold Award, closely followed by Rachel Simpson, Mark Woods and Rebekah Burns, each of whom achieved the Silver standard.

At Bronze level there were also a signiificant number of pupils recognized, namely; Rebekah McMullan, Jamie McDowell, James Joyce, Ryan McAtasney, Daniel McDowell, Dan Whitcroft, Ruth Milligan, Jack Quirey, Luke Kernaghen, Harry Walker, Anna Doherty, Rebekah Wilson, Eva Wardlow, Zoe Dilworth, Sam McClintock, Isaac Skillen, Callum Neill and Holly Martin.

Well done to the many pupils mentioned; the success of such a large number of students reflects the very healthy state of Biology within the School. Many thanks also to Head of Science Mrs Janet Auld, without whose diligent organization the pupils would not have been afforded the opportunity to excel within the event.
