'Sources and Inspirations' Art Exhibition

On Thursday 8th November a number of Grosvenor’s A Level Art & Design students attended the acclamied ‘Sources & Inspirations’ session, held in the impressive surroundings of The Ulster Museum.

During the workshop, professional artist Philip Mackey spoke about his work; the origin and development of his ideas and his process. The GGS pupils present were able to interact with both Philip and his work, while they also had the opportunity to ask him questions and study his sketch books.

The session proved to be an enlightening experience, with students also afforded time to view the Royal Ulster Academy Exhibition, which provided plenty of inspiring ideas.

Many thanks to Grosvenor Art teacher Mrs Lynn Denvir-Watson for organising and coordinating the School’s attendance at this most worthwhile event; hopefully the inspiration provided by it will be reflected come the department’s annual A Level exhibition in June.
