'Stand Up to Cancer' Fundraising Initiative

Congratulations to Grosvenor's pupils and staff members who participated in a variety of activities to help raise £2250 as part of the UK-wide ‘Stand Up to Cancer’ initiative on Friday 17th October.

Pupils were afforded the opportunity to purchase items such as ‘Stand Up to Cancer’ t-shirts and badges, as well as participate in a highly popular ‘Ice-Bucket Challenge’ that formed the centerpiece of the day.  In this challenge, featuring a selection of staff members including Principal Mr Robin McLoughlin and Vice-Principal Dr Robert Rolleston, selected pupils from Junior and Senior School given the chance to soak their teachers with buckets of ice, all for the most worthwhile of causes.

Well done to the entire School community which combined to raise such an impressive total on the day, with particular credit due to the School’s Charity Coordinator Ms Lorraine Gray, along with the Sixth Form Charity Committee, whose work in planning for and organising the entire initiative was rewarded through the achievement of such an impressive final total.
