Star Performances from Grosvenor students

Congratulations to Grosvenor pupils Robert Orr and Ryan McMaster, both Year Fourteen, whose impressive performances recently earned them prestigious certificates of achievement from the ‘Reserve Forces & Cadets Association NI’, presented by Gillian Bingham, High Sheriff of County Antrim.

The ‘4 Star Army Proficiency Certificate’ is conferred in recognition of outstanding achievement and commitment within the Cadet movement.

Congratulating recipients of the 4 Star awards, Colonel Sam McCammond, Commandant of the 2nd (NI) Battalion Army Cadet Force, said, “At a time when society tends to be quick to find fault with the younger generation, young people like Robert and Ryan are demonstrating great qualities and it is an absolute pleasure to see them reap the rewards of their hard work and sense of purpose.”

“The Cadet movement famously offers its members great fun and camaraderie but, as our youthful high achievers Robert and Ryan demonstrate, it also opens the door for significant personal development. Attaining 4 star status provides something truly significant to put on their Personal Statements as they prepare for college or apply for their first jobs. I congratulate them – and the Adult Leaders who inspire and instruct them.”

It goes without saying that everyone associated with Grosvenor is extremely proud of the achievements of Robert and Ryan; we wish them the best of luck in their continued Cadets-related endeavors and look forward to reporting on their further achievements over the remainder of the year.
