‘Swim Ireland School Interprovincial Swimming Championships’

Congratulations to Grosvenor swimmers Victoria Catterson and Aston Edmond who recently attained selection to represent Ulster at the ‘Swim Ireland School Interprovincial Swimming Championships’, which will take place at the Dublin Aquatic Centre on Saturday 29th April.

Both Victoria and Aston attained their selection for this prestigious event after performing impressively at the Ulster Schools’ Championship, held in October: criteria for selection to the Interprovincials was to place in the top two in each respective event. With this in mind, Victoria booked her place at the competition by topping the podium in the 100 metres and 400 metres freestyle events, while Aston’s victory in the 100 metre backstroke, against a number of competitors one year older than him, also saw him achieve selection.

Well done to both Victoria and Aston on their participation at this prestigious, elite event: we wish them all the best for the competition on 29th April and look forward to, hopefully, celebrating more success from them at this event.
