‘Think How You Drink!’

On the morning of Wednesday 15th March Grosvenor welcomed the ‘East Belfast Policing and Community Safety Partnership’ to its William Moles Hall, where it delivered a powerful performance to its year eleven and twelve pupils entitled ‘Think how you Drink!’

The performance looked closely at the behaviour of young people and their attitude to drinking alcohol, whilst addressing the risks and causes of alcohol misuse for young people.

The performance focused on the story of Rosie, a sixteen year old girl who gets involved in drinking, leading to a rapidly downward spiral that incudes the loss of her friends, assault, prison and much else.

The event proved highly worthwhile, especially as it addressed an issue which is so relevant to young people today and can have such negative consequences: many thanks to the ‘East Belfast Policing and Community Safety Partnership’ for visiting the school with this extremely hard-hitting performance, as well as GGS Senior Teacher Mrs Fox who organised the School’s involvement within this worthwhile initiative.
