Travel and Tourism trip to La Mon Hotel and Country Club

On Monday 16th November twelve of Grosvenor’s enthusiastic Lower Sixth pupils visited La Mon Hotel and Country Club to conduct research for their AS Travel and Tourism Portfolio, which focuses on Customer Service in a travel and tourism organisation.

During the tour with duty manager Jayne Brennan, pupils were given access to the conference facilities, rooms, Spa and Country Club and restaurants and kitchens, all whilst gaining an insight into how the hotel is run and what can be expected by both staff and customers on a daily basis. The tour concluded with a question-and-answer session, during which pupils received the opportunity to find out extra information required for their portfolio.

The event proved highly informative and proved extremely useful for all pupils concerned. Many thanks to the pupils’ Travel and Tourism teacher, Miss Andrea Elwood, for organising the trip and accompanying the pupils on the day, as well as to La Mon itself for providing the pupils with such an insightful opportunity.
