‘Ulster Chartered Accountants’ Annual Charity Lunch’ 2017

On Friday 15th December the School’s talented String Quintet, comprising Sarah Myles, Anna Stanfield, Lucy Hamilton, Tyler Smyth and Karl Kirkpatrick, received a rare and privileged opportunity when it was invited to the Europa Hotel for its annual performance at the highly prestigious ‘Ulster Chartered Accountants’ Annual Charity Lunch’, featuring guests from the banking world across Northern Ireland and further afield.

The pupils were positioned in front of The Europa’s grand Christmas tree, set right in the heart of the mingling guests, and began playing shortly before their arrival. The quintet, which was accompanied to the event by GGS Music teacher Miss Foster, performed a range of Christmas Carols which were extremely positively received by all in attendance.

This year's event was held in aid of 'Friends of the Cancer Centre' and signalled a great end to 2017 for the quintet; we hope that 2018 proves just as successful for them.
