Ulster Junior Table Tennis Championships 2014

Congratulations to Grosvenor pupils Lucy Craig (1N), Emma Kee (1V) and Emma Ludlow (Lower 6th), each of whom were victorious at the ‘STIGA Ulster Junior Table Tennis Championships’, held over the weekend of Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd February.

In a high-class competition held at Fivemiletown High School, Lucy achieved victory in the Under 13 category whilst Emma Kee was placed first at Under 15 level and Emma Ludlow prevailed in the Under 18 category.

Each of the girls currently play out of Glenburn Table Tennis Club are now training hard for a place on the Ulster Interprovincial team.

In addition, Emma Ludlow recently represented the Irish Ladies' team at the Womens’ British League while she has also been selected to compete for Ireland in the ‘Junior Six Nations’ competition in Guernsey during March.  Emma is also training towards the forthcoming Glasgow Commonwealth Games and is, at present, on the ‘long list’ of five players, with three places possibly available on the final team.

Well done to all three of Grosvenor’s female Ulster Champions on their recent successes - we now wish them the best of luck at this week’s upcoming Ulster Schools’ Championships, which are due to be held at The Valley Leisure Centre on Thursday 27th February.
