Ulster Schools' Cricket

Congratulations to Grosvenor Grammar School pupils Alistair Shields, Neil Adams, Peter Davison and Aaron Johnston, each of whom achieved selection for the Ulster Schools’ Cricket team during the summer.

Grosvenor’s 1st XI captain Shields, who completed his time at the school at the end of last year and has also enjoyed Irish Schools’ and Ireland Under 19 recognition, represented Ulster Schools’ against Leinster Schools’ at the end of June.

In addition Peter Davison (Upper 6th), Aaron Johnston (Lower 6th) and Neil Adams, who also completed his Upper 6th year last June, were selected to represent Ulster Schools on its four day tour of Durham in the middle of August, during which they participated in three matches.

The recognition of this quartet at representative level comes as no surprise bearing in mind the School’s victory in the final of the Ulster Bank Schools’ Cup at the end of June.

Congratulations to the four pupils concerned and we look forward to reading of further cricketing success within the School in the summer of 2013!
