Under 16 Football vs 'Sports Academy George'

Well done to Grosvenor’s Under 16 football team which performed commendably in defeat to touring South African team ‘Sports Academy George’ on the afternoon of Friday 2nd October.

Despite a final score which slightly flattered the visitors, who added two late goals to widen their margin of victory, Grosvenor performed well in what was a tightly contested match throughout, played in a good spirit.

Grosvenor’s goal on the day came from form five pupil Curtis Stewart while commendable performances also came from alternating goalkeepers Aston Edmund and Nathan Chan, as well as midfielders Adam McCullough and Ben Gilmore.

Many thanks to Knockbreda Football Club which hosted the fixture and provided refreshments following the final whistle, as well as Grosvenor’s own Mr Gibson who refereed the match, plus coaches Mr Tomkins and Mr Winters.
