Year Eight 'Translink' Safety Bus

On Thursday 27th October Grosvenor welcomed representatives from ‘Translink’ to the School to speak to its Year Eight pupils about the important issues of safety and responsibility when using public transport.

The annual event saw all 155 pupils in the year group visit Translink’s ‘Safety Bus’, located at the front of the School grounds, throughout the day. Important information provided included that relating to boarding and departing buses, responsible behaviour whilst on buses and appropriate conduct whilst waiting at bus stops.

Many thanks to Grosvenor's Head of Year Eight Miss McDowell, who coordinated the event, as well as ‘Translink’ itself for providing these worthwhile series of talks; with bus safety proving such an important issue at present it provided the School’s Year Eight pupils with plenty of invaluable information which they will hopefully bear in mind throughout their time at Grosvenor.

We look forward to welcoming ‘Translink’ back to the School next year to deliver more educational talks to Grosvenor’s Year Eight of 2017-2018.

Members of 8S enjoy their visit to the Translink 'Safety Bus' on Thursday 27th October.
