Year Nine Sailing Success!

Congratulations to Grosvenor pupil Conor Allen, Year Nine, who has enjoyed a wide range of sailing-related success of late.

Conor, who began sailing at the age of four with encouragement from his dad, is currently a member of the Northern Ireland Youth Performance team, sailing a topper dinghy. Amongst notable recent successes, Conor was placed second in the Topper fleet at a competition held at Royal North of Ireland Yacht Club, while he also finished 14th - out of 38 competitors - in a competition held at Dunlaghoire National Yacht Club. Furthermore, Conor is hoping to build on his recent successes when he competes at a range of events this summer, including at the U.K. National Championships in Largs, Scotland, as well as the Irish Nationals in Hollywood.

At present Conor sails at East Down Yacht Club and intends to compete and train every Saturday and Wednesday after the summer examinations, in order to perform to his optimum level at the aforementioned competitions over the summer.

Well done to Conor on his superb recent achievements and we wish him all the best in his sailing-related endeavors over the summer months.
